In THE BEGINNING..
God loves people. From the start He established a relationship them, walking with them in the cool of the day and conversing with them in a fatherly way.
IT WASN’T LONG UNTIL THE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WAS BROKEN..
God is our Creator. He loves each of us and desires a relationship with us. Adam and Eve enjoyed a perfect relationship with God until sin entered the picture.
THE SOLUTION…
Knowing that people are powerless to reconcile their broken relationship with him, God did something spectacular – he sent his Son, Jesus, to pay for our sin by dying a cruel death as a substitute for the debt we all owe. After being in the grave for three days Jesus rose from the dead, finishing the requirements for our rescue! The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus did all of that to rescue you, to save you.
THE PROBLEM…
What broke the relationship with God is a rebellious action called sin, and it’s something at the heart level of every human that’s ever lived. From lying to hatred to murder, the Bible tells us that “…all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” That means our sin separates us from the God who made us, and puts us on a path that leads to Hell, a place of pain and suffering and, worst of all, eternal separation from God.
Sin broke this perfect relationship with God. Lying, hatred, murder-these are all sins. You and I are born sinners and we have no hope of escaping this sin on our own. The Bible tells us that “…all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Our sin separates us from God and leads us ultimately to Hell, a place of pain and suffering, and worst of all, eternal separation from God.
TRUST JESUS…
The bottom line is that you need Jesus. You need to turn from your sin and choose Jesus instead! He’ll restore you and be your God, and all it takes is faith. “…believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved…” Acts 16:31
